Parameter Stability Explorer

A planned visual review tool for identifying whether a strategy result comes from a broad parameter plateau or from a fragile isolated optimum.

Primary review question

Is the selected parameter set surrounded by acceptable neighboring configurations, or is it dependent on a narrow optimization spike?

The answer must be derived from declared assumptions and visible evidence classes. It must not be converted into a promise of future trading performance.

Current limitation

Specification before automation.

The page is not a heatmap engine yet. It defines the intended acceptance logic for future releases.

Planned inputs

  • Parameter-grid result table
  • Target metric and secondary risk metric
  • Neighborhood radius and acceptance band
  • Minimum trade-count and drawdown limits

Review outputs

  • Stability score and plateau coverage
  • Cliff and isolated-optimum warnings
  • Heatmap-ready data structure
  • Recommended evidence note for the system profile

Methodology controls

  • A high single-run result is not enough without neighborhood review.
  • Trade count and drawdown constraints are evaluated before ranking performance.
  • Parameter stability is evidence, not proof of future profitability.

Publication discipline

Why this page exists before the final tool.

Valthor Labs keeps planned utilities visible so users can inspect the intended methodology instead of seeing empty placeholders. The status label, limitations and review boundaries are part of the page content, not hidden footnotes.
